Coconut Joe's was rennovated and reopened by the same management team as Calypso Bay.  If you have been to Pier 7 in years past, you will not recognize Coconut Joe's.  They complimented a Multimillion dollar location with a Multimiillion dollar rennovation.

In the summer bring the kids down for some pick up volleyball games, or cruise your boat up to their dock.  The raw bar will not dissapoint.  Look forward to Jazz and Reggae nights at sunset.

They need a live band playing outside. Reggae music would fit the theme. They also need to take out HAWAIIAN bar and grill. It should just be bar and grill. I'm from hawaii and it is ashamed that they don't serve hawaiian food or anything near it. They do serve spam tempura for $9. Overpriced??? They should be selling spam musubis, Loco Mocos, chicken Katsu, Kalbi, Huli Huli chicken, kalua pig just to name a few. There theme is just Cheesy. The outside deck it beautiful but the inside gots to go. Customer service is horrible... Please train your staff to have aloha spirit if your going to name your bar hawaiian bar and grill...Mahalo

Okay where do I start. I walked in asked if we could sit outside. They asked for car keys or an Id for collateral, in exchange for a buzzer notification thingy. I don't know what you call it. Anyways we thought that was odd. My husband and I decided to go to the bar and kill some time being that it going to be 10-15 mintues wait. We would have ordered drinks if they even acknowledge us. There were 3 bartenders at the time, and not one even looked at us and said we will be right with you. Okay it was 7pm and there were only 2 other people at the bar. It was not busy at all. After waiting 5 mins we left and sat down by the waiting area. We gtt to our seat and to our surpise, ants crawling all over the table..lol..yup..that didnt really bother me though, being from hawaii we practicaly live with them. Okay to cut to the chase, bad servers, food sucked, ordered the big kahuna ( suppose to be in a big serving glass, but they ran out of glasses), and I over heard a server ask a table if there done with there food because they been there for a while. What the Hell??? Rush rush..Oh yeah..they call themselves hawaiian bar and grill.they should be ashamed..No aloha spirit and No hawaiian music..Im pau

You have got to be kidding me! Small children, at least 7 of them plus an infant, in a bar at happy hour? Please. The last thing anyone wants after getting off work and meeting friends to relax is a bunch of screaming running, totally unsupervised kids around. We couldn’t hear each other at all.

At one point three of the little girls went out the front door, alone, and were out there for at least 15 minutes. When they came back in no one seemed to notice, just as when they went out. A pedophiles dream.

We don’t usually go into things like this but it does fall into the realm of overall ambience.

Our waiter was wonderful. He was nearly tripped by one of the kids and almost lost a tray of food and drinks, but recovered gracefully if frustrated.

Back to work here: The Margaritas were great, the beer was fine. The wine was replaced right away when it appeared to have gone bad. The food on the other hand was not good. The Calamari tasted ok but was very oily. It made me feel like I needed to go wash my face after eating it. The wings seemed to have been reheated several times and were awful.

Our complaints about the kids and noise were taken to management and we were told a sign would go up to help keep children out. We’ll see.

We will go back. Every place deserves a second chance, but you know what they say about first impressions. Based on ours; I would rename ‘ Coconut Joe's Hawaiian Bar & Grill’, ’Coconut Joe's Play Pen’.

Oh, by the way…..shame on you parents. And what kind of thinking causes a mom to bring an infant into a bar so she can drink with her buddies?

Don't go for dinner. Menu does not match served food. Tuna was burnt. Warm Chardonnay. Biker crowd. Ordered 12 wings got 8. Hostess finishing Blueberry Cobbler at entrance. Quite an experience. Bar is nice. Weak music. Not my cup of tea ......

There is no reason to have any hate for Coconut Joe's. They have brought a property back from the brink and revitalized the Southside of the Bridge. The view is one of the best in Annapolis and is only rivaled by Pussers.

went here for the first time July 5th. Sat outside and really enjoyed myself. Eclectic group of people who were all friendly. Bartender turned me on to an Orange Crush and it was refreshing.
Wish you would put some live music out there for Happy Hour on friday and during the day on Saturday & Sunday.
I will go back hope to see you there.

Great rennovation, great atmosphere, great location. (I've never understood why previous owners couldn't make a go of this location).

But guys, come on... GET RID OF THE FLIES INSIDE !!! This seems like a pretty simple thing to do.

I like the place except the fact it seems the close whenever they want even with tons of people there please stay open you will make more money if you stay open later. closing at ten is weak. you will lose all you buissnes to shockers for the late night crowd.

I stopped in here the other day, it was such an excellent experience. The staff was great, the drinks were cheap and the food was fresh.

I have yet to hear a Radio Ad for Coconut Joe's on WRNR. Do they have any radio ads yet on any radio station?

Best Corn and Crab Chowder I've EVER had! It is a meal all in its self too! I can't wait to see what it looks like in the summer with the tiki bars and palm trees!

The place is nice on the inside, but I don't agree with what they're trying to do there. A DJ playing bad dance music is only going to draw the dregs of Edgewater to your establishment. See: Riptides

The place won't make it unless they get people to come over the bridge from Annapolis. A DJ isn't going to accomplish this.

i strongly disagree with you. ive been here twice and both times i wish they had live music or any type of music !it was dead because there was no entertainment.im glad to hear they got a dj. i wil give it another try now. and i live in edgewater and im not white trash. theres nothing wrong with a bar having a dj to hypen up your time.

A Dj plays on Friday Nights & some Holidays. There is a Live Band 1/2/10 that you should check out. and No Cover.

Edgewater doesn't have "Dregs", though I've seen many in Annapolis. Riptides? Yeeeaaa! This place Rocks! Live music will be coming, ask for "Spoiled Rotten" on a Saturday Night. They can Rock this joint beyond compare, and fill it to capacity with folks on this side of the bridge, as well as the other.
